Front end was fitted to check substructure alignement. It will be on and off a dozen
times
or so during the build.
Mock up hood is set in place and both sides are checked for fit.
Mark and his brother pop in for a "look see" at our progress and the Jon
Barrett Racing 302 engine
that Mark chose to power his car.
Because we had to remove the complete front frame and floor pan because of damage,
we built a tunnel that replicates the Mach I console and will skin it with new metal.
We set the 302 in place so we can build the mounts and other front end pieces,
and set the Holley Pro-jection unit on the engine to verify hood clearances.
The rear deck and trunk lip are worked to repair damage and eliminate
irregular factory gaps. Mark selected a killer stereo and speakers. We installed
speaker mounts in the rear window package tray.
Check back for more progress.
