Woodsy picked up the frame from JTec powder coaters and it looks great.
JTec can also bake paint off old cars, but Woodsy was concerned that the
heat could warp the old metal and damage the wooden inner structure so
Mike scraped off the layers of old paint.
Although the car is in very good condition for it's age, there are a few problem areas.
We cut out the old rusty metal in both rear wheel wells.
We made new panels to fit, clamped in place and then tacked in prior to the final welding.
Here are views of the new driver side repair panel, taken from inside the trunk.
And here are exterior views of the welded in panel before final finishing/grinding.
