Sometimes the littlest things can hold up a whole process. In this case, it is this small retainer pin
that holds the spider gear shaft in place.  It had to be removed in order to allow clearance to slide
the axles in to remove the C-clips that hold them.

Then the drum brake pieces can be removed and replaced with the new Disc brake set-up.
After several attempts (and days) the broken tip of the pin, and remaining several threads,
was extracted so the work could proceed.

After removing the backing plates and cleaning the axle ends, the caliper brackets are
installed and torqued.

After the dust shield installation . . .                . . . the axles and rotors were installed.

The new brake calipers were installed . . .   then the brake line was routed.  Continued
