Superformance Shelby Cobra Coupe
Woodsy built C037 with a 351W/ 360hp Ford Racing Crate Engine and 6-speed
Tremec transmission. It is a GT coupe -- civilized enough for the street with plenty
of guts for the track ... and twisty turns of Tail of the Dragon
and 2006 Run 'n Gun.
  
Peter Brock checks out Woodsy's work at Gearhead City.
He shared stories of with Woodsy and Rory about working
on the original design for the Cobra Coupe for Shelby Racing.
Woodsy worked closely with Peter Brock and the Superformance factory
on this early production model. Peter takes such a personal interest in customers'
satisfaction that he even stopped by to visit. Of course, they took each others'
Daytona Cobra Coupes for a spin. Thanks again Peter -- for everything!
Woodsy earns 1st in class in Road Course; 2nd in Autocross at the 2006 Run 'n
Gun
Peter fine-tuned his original 1965 Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe race car,
designed for Carroll Shelby. He brought Bob Negstad back to modernize
suspension and handling for Jim Price at Superformance. Great teamwork!
Superformance added creature comforts including AC, power steering,
glass roll-up side windows, remote lock & alarm system, full instrumentation,
BTR / Dana Hydratrac differential, PBR disc brakes (13" front, 12" rear),
fully independent suspension, Bilstein shocks, H&R springs, 18" die cast
magnesium wheels, leather interior . . . and more.
