Longtime friend Scott Meier brought his 1969 Mustang GT Fastback
to the shop for work on his 428 Super Cobra Jet engine. Scott races
1/8 mile tracks. You may have seen Scott on the track in Charleston, IL
with his son Rory, in his 1986 Mustang.
Scott's 1969 Mustang GT Fastback has less than 20,000 original miles
Scott got the GT from an acquaintance who bought it new and drag raced
it for years. The engine had been blown up at least once at the quarter-mile
tracks, and had a replacement block. Scott had it rebuilt years ago, and
brought it to the shop to improve the engine performance.
Scott took his engine to Brian, at Main Street Machine Racing Engines, for balancing.
